members, Shannon Marstaeller and Joseph Raso.

The event showcased talent from performers aged 5 to 18 years over four days between July 9-13.

Two professional judges were on the panel each day and awards were handed out for first, second and third place in both junior and senior categories.

Beau Cregan, 12, performed a Michael Jackson routine and took home the junior grand final prize while vocalist Joseph Raso, 17, was named the best senior performer.

Susie Smither from the Mandarin Centre helped put this year’s event together and said interest was especially high and the standard was excellent.

‘‘We’re always inundated with great talent and this year was no exception.’’ Auditions are held each year for the talent quest before eight acts are selected for junior and senior age groups.
